Country Manager

About the role

The International Rescue Committee is seeking a dynamic Country Manager to lead and oversee its multi‑sector humanitarian programmes in Venezuela. Reporting to the Deputy Director of Programs for Colombia, you will ensure high‑quality implementation across health, protection, education, economic recovery and other critical areas.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day leadership for all programme activities in the country, ensuring alignment with IRC’s strategic objectives.
• Support programme coordinators and the partnerships team in managing relationships with local partners following the PEERS approach.
• Coordinate planning, implementation and monitoring of multi‑sector projects, tracking progress against work plans and budgets.
• Represent the Venezuelan programme externally, enhancing visibility and stakeholder acceptance.
• Participate in the Senior Management Team, fostering cross‑departmental collaboration.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing large‑scale humanitarian programmes in complex environments.
• Strong leadership and people‑management skills, with the ability to motivate diverse teams.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑engagement abilities.
• Legal right to work in Venezuela.
