External Sales Consultant (FAIS)

About the role

The External Sales Consultant will drive sales growth and service delivery for Absa across assigned territories. You will own performance targets, support collaborative sales initiatives, and promote Absa’s value proposition to customers in various external channels.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve sales and service targets for Inclusive Banking, Entry Level and Bulk Acquisition in a B2C environment.
• Develop and execute weekly sales plans in partnership with relationship managers and team leads.
• Identify cross‑sell opportunities and work with colleagues across business units to deliver them.
• Represent Absa at workplace banking schemes, public forums, major events and festivals to generate leads.
• Manage leads proactively, converting them into business opportunities.
• Monitor personal sales performance and seek coaching or support when needed.
• Contribute to regional sales strategy and provide feedback on products and schemes.

Required profile

• Strong focus on achieving sales targets and delivering high‑quality service.
• Ability to build networks and relationships within the assigned area.
• Proactive mindset with excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Experience in banking or financial services sales is preferred.
