Regional Sales Engineer – Venezuela

About the role

As the Regional Sales Engineer for Venezuela, you will act as the single point of contact for all Ruhrpumpen sales and customer support activities. You will manage the defined territory, develop existing accounts and acquire new customers, focusing on both new pump equipment sales and aftermarket services.

Key responsibilities

• Visit customers regularly in the territory to grow business across all market segments.
• Develop and maintain relationships with buying influences, maintenance professionals, and new contacts.
• Identify customer needs, prepare proposals, and negotiate technical, commercial, and legal terms.
• Provide new pump opportunities to the Inside Sales Team for quoting.
• Maintain accurate forecasts, budgets, and cost control using company‑approved systems.
• Represent the full Ruhrpumpen product portfolio, including non‑OEM items.
• Evaluate market potential, forecast trends, and report on client satisfaction.

Required profile

• Legal residence and work authorization in Venezuela.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
• 10+ years of experience in pump industry sales within the Venezuelan market.
• Proven B2B sales experience to chemical, oil & gas or general industry customers.
• Extensive network of key industry contacts and willingness to travel 70‑80% of the time.
• English proficiency at B2 level.

Required skills

• Strong technical knowledge of pumps and mechanical seals.
• Experience with CRM platforms, specifically Salesforce and SugarCRM.
