About the role
The Well Planning Specialist (WEC Drilling Engineer) supports the PSD team in delivering safe, efficient, and reliable services to customers. The role focuses on developing optimized technical job designs, identifying continuous‑improvement opportunities, and providing real‑time support throughout the service delivery process. The specialist works closely with the Product Line to manage risk, communicate technical value, and ensure alignment with service quality standards.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and deliver optimized technical job designs for the assigned product line.
- Identify and apply cost‑effective techniques and value‑added services.
- Provide real‑time technical support to PSD operations and manage resource consumption (COSD).
- Collaborate with subject‑matter experts to refine designs and support execution phase changes.
- Assist in incident response, recovery, and investigation, capturing lessons learned.
- Support sales and commercial teams in evaluating technical viability of tenders.
- Analyze job execution versus design and document improvements and best practices.
