Technical Service Manager

About the role

The Technical Service Manager will plan and oversee maintenance activities for medium, small and large gas turbines within the Siemens Energy fleet operating in Colombia and Venezuela. The role requires close collaboration with technical sales, project managers, field services and customers to define the technical scope, schedule and resources for turbine outages.

Key responsibilities

• Define technical scope, schedule, activity breakdown and required resources for turbine outage projects.
• Coordinate with Technical Sales, Project Managers, Field Services and customers to capture and validate technical requirements.
• Lead the tool‑depot strategy supporting each project.
• Conduct technical meetings on‑site or online with customers across multiple locations.
• Provide regular progress reports to the District Service Manager.
• Ensure compliance with EHS, quality and other management system protocols.

Required profile

• University degree in Mechanical or Electromechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
• Minimum 7 years of experience as a mechanical field service engineer or technical project manager in the power or oil & gas sector.
• Proven experience with gas/steam turbine maintenance and power plant operations.
• Professional working proficiency in English (spoken and written).
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 50% of the time.
• Ability to adapt to changing schedules, priorities and multiple concurrent projects.
