About the role
UNICEF is seeking a Supply & Logistics Officer (NO‑1) on a six‑month temporary appointment in Caracas, Venezuela. The officer will support the organization’s emergency response to the recent devastating earthquakes, ensuring that essential supplies reach affected children and families.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate procurement, transport and distribution of humanitarian goods for the emergency response.
- Manage inventory and stock levels of relief items, monitoring usage and replenishment.
- Collaborate with UNICEF country offices, government partners and other humanitarian actors to align logistics plans.
- Ensure compliance with UNICEF procurement policies and donor regulations.
- Prepare logistics reports and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
Required profile
- Relevant university degree or equivalent experience in supply chain, logistics or humanitarian assistance.
- Experience working in emergency or development contexts, preferably in Latin America.
- Strong analytical and organizational abilities, with attention to detail.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Spanish is an asset.
