Supply & Logistics Associate (G-6) – Temporary, 6 months, Caracas

About the role

UNICEF is seeking a Supply & Logistics Associate (G‑6) for a six‑month temporary appointment in Caracas, Venezuela. The role supports the emergency response to the recent earthquakes, ensuring that essential goods and services reach affected children and families.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate procurement, receipt, storage, and distribution of humanitarian supplies.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and monitor stock levels.
• Collaborate with national authorities, partners, and UNICEF field teams to plan and execute logistics operations.
• Prepare logistics reports and ensure compliance with UNICEF procurement and supply policies.
• Assist in the preparation of logistics budgets and cost tracking.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in supply chain, procurement, or logistics, preferably in humanitarian or emergency settings.
• Understanding of UNICEF or UN logistics standards is an advantage.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to rapidly changing conditions.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Fluency in English; Spanish proficiency is beneficial.
