Supply & Logistics Associate – Construction

About the role

The Supply & Logistics Associate (Construction) supports UNICEF’s emergency response in Venezuela by providing technical assistance to construction projects. Reporting to the Supply and Construction Officer, the incumbent works on‑site to ensure that construction activities are planned, procured, and monitored effectively, contributing to safe and timely delivery of humanitarian infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the planning and scheduling of construction works related to emergency shelters, schools and health facilities.
• Support procurement processes for construction materials, equipment and services, ensuring compliance with UNICEF guidelines.
• Monitor progress of works on‑site, verify quality standards, and report deviations to senior staff.
• Coordinate with UNICEF Programme and Operations teams to align construction activities with broader humanitarian objectives.
• Prepare regular status reports and maintain accurate documentation of project milestones.

Required profile

• Relevant tertiary education in construction management, civil engineering, logistics or a related field.
• Experience working on construction projects in humanitarian or development contexts.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑moving emergency environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with fluency in English; Spanish is an advantage.
