Supply & Logistics Associate (6‑month contract)

About the role

UNICEF is seeking a Supply & Logistics Associate to support its emergency response in Venezuela following the recent magnitude‑7.5 and 7.2 earthquakes. The position is a six‑month assignment based in Caracas, focusing on the coordination of critical supplies and services for affected children and families.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate procurement, transport, and distribution of humanitarian supplies, including food, medical kits, water, and sanitation items.
• Monitor inventory levels, track shipments, and ensure timely delivery to affected regions.
• Collaborate with government agencies, NGOs, and UN partners to align logistics operations with overall emergency response plans.
• Support the set‑up and management of temporary storage facilities and distribution points.
• Prepare regular logistics reports and data for internal and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in supply chain, logistics or humanitarian operations.
• Ability to work under pressure in emergency contexts and adapt to rapidly changing conditions.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with attention to detail.
• Fluency in English; Spanish proficiency is an advantage.
