Supply Chain Associate – Procurement (2 openings)

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking two Supply Chain Associates specialized in procurement to support its mission in Caracas, Venezuela. Reporting to the Chief of Mission and the Resources Management Officer, the associate will manage the full procurement cycle, ensuring value for money and compliance with IOM policies.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate supplier proposals, negotiate prices, terms and conditions.
• Coordinate with internal departments to identify procurement needs and propose solutions.
• Develop and implement procurement strategies for timely, cost‑effective acquisition.
• Prepare, review and issue RFQs, RFPs and ITB documents.
• Receive, verify and consolidate procurement requisition forms according to the Purchase Authorisation Matrix.
• Assist supervisors on complex, high‑value purchases and prepare tender documents.
• Conduct bid analysis, support evaluation processes and provide technical inputs.
• Confirm agreement terms with selected suppliers and prepare related documentation.

Required profile

• Proven experience in procurement, supplier evaluation and negotiation.
• Ability to work closely with multiple internal units and external vendors.
• Familiarity with procurement documentation such as RFQs, RFPs and ITBs.
• Understanding of purchase authorization procedures and compliance requirements.
