Supply Chain Associate – Logistics

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Supply Chain Associate to support its logistics operations in Caracas, Venezuela. The role focuses on managing procurement processes, coordinating with suppliers, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services that support IOM’s migration programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, consolidate and verify procurement requisition forms against the Purchase Authorization Matrix and office guidelines.
• Assist supervisors with complex or high‑value purchases, preparing tender documents and soliciting bids or quotations.
• Prepare bid analysis summaries, participate in evaluation where required, and provide technical inputs.
• Confirm terms with selected suppliers, issue purchase orders or contracts, and obtain necessary authorisations.
• Monitor open requisitions, follow up on delivery status, and coordinate receipt of goods with the receiving unit.
• Review vendor invoices, prepare payment requests and liaise with Finance to ensure timely payments.
• Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation.

Required profile

• Experience in procurement, logistics or supply‑chain support within an international or governmental setting.
• Familiarity with procurement procedures, tendering processes and purchase authorisation guidelines.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with multiple stakeholders.
• Good organisational and record‑keeping skills.
