Supply Chain Associate – Inventory Management

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking two Supply Chain Associates (Inventory) to support procurement and inventory functions at its Caracas office. The role contributes to IOM’s mission of promoting humane and orderly migration by ensuring timely acquisition of goods and services.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and consolidate procurement requisition forms, verify completeness and compliance with the Purchase Authorization Matrix.
• Assist supervisors with complex, high‑value purchases and prepare tender documents, solicit bids, and conduct bid analysis.
• Participate in evaluation processes and provide technical inputs where required.
• Confirm terms with selected suppliers, prepare purchase orders or contracts, and obtain necessary authorizations.
• Monitor open requisitions, follow up on delivery schedules, and coordinate receipt of goods with the receiving unit.
• Review vendor invoices, prepare payment requests and liaise with Finance to ensure timely payments.
• Create and maintain both physical and electronic procurement records.

• Internal candidates are considered first‑tier; external candidates are second‑tier.
