Structural Designer – Remote

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Structural Designer to join our engineering team. The role involves preparing precise calculations, load path layouts, and construction drawings for residential and commercial projects, with a focus on wood‑frame and reinforced‑concrete systems.

Key responsibilities

• Perform structural calculations for gravity, lateral, foundation, and retaining systems.
• Design wood‑frame assemblies (shear walls, joists, beams) and reinforced‑concrete elements (foundations, slabs, columns).
• Develop detailed structural plans, sections, and framing details using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Coordinate designs with architects, engineers, and project leads to ensure constructability.
• Ensure strict compliance with building codes such as IBC, ASCE 7, ACI 318, and NDS.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 2–5+ years of structural design experience with wood and concrete.
• EIT preferred; SE/PE track is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail, proactive problem‑solving, and clear communication.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.
• Experience with structural analysis software (Enercalc, RISA, WoodWorks, or RAM).
