Strategy & Business Performance Analyst

About the role

The Business Performance Delivery Analyst will support Chevron's joint‑venture planning processes, ensuring accurate data consolidation and alignment with PDVSA guidelines. The role involves regular interaction with mixed‑ownership (Empresas Mixtas) teams and senior management.

Key responsibilities

• Capture and consolidate information for the annual Business Plan, maintaining consistency across multiple sources.
• Support economic evaluation and decision‑analysis tools, linking them to portfolio management and business planning.
• Coordinate planning processes such as Small Capital Projects look‑back, mid‑year updates, and reserve movements.
• Prepare and consolidate monthly performance and operational reports, tracking KPIs like production, operating costs, capex, earnings, and cash flow.
• Mentor junior analysts and act as liaison between technical and functional teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Economics, Business or related field.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with minimal supervision.
• Excellent English communication skills (oral and written) and Spanish proficiency for PDVSA interaction.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet tight deadlines, and adapt to changing business conditions.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially Power BI.
• Knowledge and application of Agile methodologies, including Scrum.
• Experience in data consolidation from diverse sources.
