Spanish-Speaking Medical Scribe & Assistant

About the role

We are looking for a bilingual (English/Spanish) Virtual Medical Scribe and Assistant to support a high‑volume gastroenterology practice in the United States. The role is remote but requires a stable, fixed home office location in Latin America or South America. The successful candidate will work closely with a demanding specialist, providing real‑time documentation and pre‑visit chart preparation.

Key responsibilities

• Pre‑chart patient records by gathering labs, imaging, and prior notes before each visit.
• Join the physician virtually via Zoom to scribe clinical notes in Epic EMR during patient encounters.
• Handle incoming calls, schedule appointments, and coordinate patient communication outside of scribing hours.
• Facilitate smooth workflow between back‑to‑back appointments, ensuring the physician has all needed information.
• Maintain compliance with security protocols, using a dedicated IP‑address‑bound Epic access.

Required profile

• At least one year of experience as a virtual medical assistant or scribe.
• Recent nursing education (within five years) and an active RN/BSN license.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
• Fixed home office location with reliable internet and required hardware.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Epic EMR.
• Experience using Zoom for virtual consultations.
