Senior US Bookkeeper (QuickBooks Online) – Remote

About the role

Accounting Labs is seeking an experienced Senior US Bookkeeper to support its growing portfolio of U.S.-based clients. This full‑time remote position offers the chance to work with modern accounting tools and a collaborative team focused on high‑quality client service.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records by posting, reviewing, and verifying source documents.
• Create, clean up, and modify charts of accounts.
• Perform bank, credit‑card, loan, payroll, AR, and AP reconciliations.
• Support month‑end close activities, including accruals, depreciation, and workpapers.
• Prepare financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing accounting information.
• Assist with payroll processing, invoicing, bill entry, and other AR/AP workflows.
• Follow internal bookkeeping policies, client‑specific SOPs, and maintain confidentiality.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of bookkeeping experience with U.S. companies.
• Strong written English and professional communication skills.
• High attention to detail, ability to manage multiple deadlines, and strong prioritization.

Required skills

• QuickBooks Online (mandatory).
• QuickBooks Desktop, Xero, Bill.com, or similar accounting tools (plus).
• Payroll software proficiency.
• Advanced Excel, Google Sheets, and Google Docs.
• Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and IFRS.
• Familiarity with AI tools (plus).
