Senior Ruby & Ruby on Rails Engineer – Remote Work

About the role

As a Senior Ruby & Ruby on Rails Engineer you will lead the design and development of scalable web applications, delivering clean, high‑performance code while ensuring database efficiency and robust system integrations that meet strict reliability and SLA requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and build highly optimized web applications using Ruby and Ruby on Rails.
• Design, optimize, and manage complex database schemas for maximum performance with PostgreSQL or MS SQL Server.
• Establish automated testing suites with unit and integration tests to guarantee software quality.
• Develop and maintain reliable data‑feed and ingestion pipelines with external partners.
• Participate in an on‑call support schedule to ensure near‑zero downtime and platform reliability.

Required profile

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, primarily with Ruby development.
• Proven expertise in Ruby and Ruby on Rails frameworks.
• Strong proficiency in database design and query optimization (PostgreSQL or MS SQL Server).
• Hands‑on experience with unit and integration testing and data‑feed integration.
• Demonstrated ability to drive platform reliability and work on‑call rotations.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
