Senior Accountant – Oil & Gas (Venezuela)

About the role

Airswift is seeking a Senior Accountant to join a leading Oil & Gas company in Venezuela. This full‑time, on‑site position will be responsible for driving month‑end close, financial reporting, and intercompany reconciliations while supporting corporate consolidation and audit activities.

Key responsibilities

• Execute monthly, quarterly and annual accounting close processes.
• Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, reclassifications and adjustments.
• Perform balance‑sheet reconciliations and detailed financial analysis.
• Support corporate reporting, financial consolidation and audit requirements.
• Reconcile intercompany transactions and balances.
• Analyze OPEX, CAPEX, fixed assets and Joint Venture accounting activities.
• Assist with internal controls, process improvements and compliance.
• Collaborate with Tax, Treasury, Operations and Finance teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Minimum 5 years of accounting or financial reporting experience.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and general‑ledger accounting.
• Fluent Spanish; advanced English is highly desirable.
• Prior experience in the Oil & Gas sector and Joint Venture accounting is preferred.
