Senior Accountant – Oil & Gas

About the role

Airswift is looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join a leading Oil & Gas company in Venezuela. This full‑time, on‑site position will be responsible for end‑to‑end financial reporting, month‑end close, and support for corporate consolidation.

Key responsibilities

• Execute monthly, quarterly and annual accounting close processes.
• Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, reclassifications and adjustments.
• Perform balance‑sheet reconciliations and detailed financial analysis.
• Support corporate reporting and financial consolidation requirements.
• Reconcile intercompany transactions and balances.
• Analyze OPEX, CAPEX, fixed assets and Joint Venture accounting activities.
• Assist audits, maintain internal controls and drive process improvements.
• Collaborate with Tax, Treasury, Operations and Finance teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• 5+ years of accounting or financial reporting experience.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and general‑ledger accounting.
• Fluent Spanish; advanced English is a plus.
• Oil & Gas industry experience and Joint Venture exposure are preferred.
