Senior Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to own the full‑cycle accounting function for a portfolio of luxury vacation‑rental properties in the Bahamas. The role is full‑time and requires flexibility to align with the Bahamas team’s business hours.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the complete accounting cycle, from daily transaction entry to month‑end close and financial statement preparation.
• Maintain the general ledger, chart of accounts, journal entries, accruals and adjustments.
• Perform bank, credit‑card and balance‑sheet reconciliations and reconcile booking revenue from rental platforms.
• Record owner income, commissions, fees, taxes, operating expenses and guest‑related transactions.
• Prepare monthly financial statements, profit & loss, balance sheet, cash‑flow and property‑level profitability reports.
• Present results to owners, highlighting trends, variances and cost‑saving opportunities.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, cash‑flow monitoring and capital‑expenditure planning.
• Coordinate with external accountants, auditors and tax advisors for year‑end reporting.
• Strengthen internal controls and improve accounting processes across multiple properties.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 5+ years of full‑cycle accounting experience with proven ability to manage the entire function independently.
• Advanced English proficiency.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statement preparation.
