Security Officer (NO-2) – Fixed Term – Caracas

About the role

The Security Officer reports to the Representative and provides professional technical, operational and administrative assistance to manage security planning and risk assessments. UNICEF has been present in Venezuela since 1967 and, following the devastating earthquakes of 24 June, has strengthened its humanitarian response to protect vulnerable children and families.

Required profile

• Completed first‑level university degree in Security Risk Management, International Relations, Conflict Analysis, Intelligence Analysis, Diplomatic Studies, Counter‑Terrorism or a related field
• Minimum two years of relevant professional experience in global security risk management or security analysis
• Proficiency in Spanish and English
• Ability to assess security risks and emerging threats
• Ability to prepare clear security incident reports and related documentation
• Ability to develop and deliver security training and capacity‑building initiatives
• Ability to support emergency planning
