Sales Director – Energy Sector (Venezuela)

About the role

Sales Director – LGP Energy is a full‑time, Venezuela‑based position leading commercial activities within the energy vertical. The role oversees sales strategy development, pipeline management and key‑account acquisition while building and expanding relationships with energy‑sector clients and partners. Collaboration with cross‑functional teams ensures alignment with market‑entry and growth strategies and provides hands‑on support during complex negotiations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the sales strategy for LGP Energy, managing the pipeline from prospecting to close.
• Identify, cultivate and close OEM partnerships and industrial collaborations.
• Own the full sales cycle – prospecting, qualification, negotiation and closing – with direct revenue accountability.
• Maintain decision‑maker level client relationships across Venezuela’s industrial hubs, including travel for in‑person engagements.
• Lead cross‑functional coordination with the Project & Operations Manager to ensure delivery of sold solutions.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in energy markets, infrastructure or related industrial sectors, preferably in emerging or reopening markets.
• Proven consultative selling and complex‑deal closing experience in the energy sector.
• Strong competence in sales operations, pipeline management, forecasting, performance tracking and CRM utilization.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (required); MBA or equivalent advanced degree (preferred).
• Fluent in English and Spanish with the ability to work with international and local partners.
• Willingness to travel 30–50% domestically and occasional international business trips.
