Risk Manager (P-4) – Temporary Appointment in Caracas

About the role

UNICEF is seeking a Risk Manager (P-4) on a temporary appointment to lead risk assurance and compliance activities for its Venezuela country office. The role supports the Representative in strengthening risk management practices across processes, systems, and the entity.

Key responsibilities

• Provide risk management support, including development and continuous improvement of risk management practices.
• Deliver compliance support and ensure adherence to UNICEF policies and procedures.
• Manage fraud risk, conduct oversight and advisory functions for senior management.
• Build awareness and capacity on risk topics among staff and partners.
• Offer context‑specific risk assurance and advisory support in a complex humanitarian environment.

Required profile

• Proven experience in risk management, compliance, and fraud risk mitigation.
• Ability to provide oversight, advisory, and capacity‑building services to senior management.
• Strong understanding of humanitarian and emergency contexts, particularly in Venezuela.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills to convey risk findings and recommendations.
