Project Manager

About the role

Rockwell Automation is hiring a Project Manager in Caracas. You will oversee and coordinate project deliverables and act as the main contact between customers, subcontractors and internal departments, making sure projects are delivered on time and meet customer needs at go-live and during operation. You report to the Regional Business Manager, Lifecycle Services, Andean Region.

Key responsibilities

• Define project scope, assign responsibilities, identify resources and build a schedule.
• Lead, organize and motivate the project team and build relationships with partners.
• Be the primary contact with the customer's project and operations management, focusing on long-term partnerships.
• Manage subcontractors and vendors to ensure on-time delivery within scope and budget.
• Support the operational steady-state phase at the customer, including escalation management.
• Develop work plans, schedules, estimates, resource plans and status reports.
• Run project meetings, track progress and analyze results.
• Manage cost, cash flow, schedule, scope and risk, and drive project profitability and customer satisfaction.
• Handle changes, updates, questions and issues, and pursue improvement opportunities.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical, Mechatronics, System Engineering or a related technology field.
• Good spoken and written English.
• Legal authorization to work in the country; visa sponsorship is not offered.
• Ability to travel about 50% of the year, including domestic and international trips.
• Prior experience in industrial automation, oil and gas, and in operating and maintaining mission-critical manufacturing or material handling environments is preferred.

Required skills

• Project management experience in a dynamic, technical environment is preferred.
• Experience managing complex groups of partners, customers, subcontractors and vendors.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Project and other project management tools is preferred.
• PMP certification is preferred.
• Change management principles, cross-functional teamwork and strong presentation and communication skills.
