Project Engineer

About the role

Rockwell Automation is seeking a Project Engineer to lead the delivery of automation projects from detailed engineering through on‑site commissioning. The role involves hands‑on development of PLC, SCADA, and HMI solutions, as well as extensive testing and documentation at customer locations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed engineering designs, PLC programs, SCADA applications, and HMI graphics.
• Configure alarms, historians, and I/O databases for electrical and instrumentation systems.
• Define instrument loops, cause‑and‑effect matrices, and perform FAT/SAT testing and defect correction.
• Produce documentation including I/O lists, test procedures, FAT/SAT reports, as‑built files, and software manuals.
• Support customers on‑site for commissioning, troubleshooting, and training.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, Mechatronics, Systems Engineering or a related field.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Typically 5 years of experience in industrial automation, preferably with exposure to the Oil & Gas sector.
• Familiarity with change‑management principles and ability to manage multiple priorities across multicultural teams.
• Willingness to travel up to 70 % of the time, including international trips.
