Procurement Specialist – Supply Chain Management

About the role

Halliburton is seeking a Procurement Specialist to support sourcing activities for manufacturing, field operations, technology, and project management at the plant level in Maturin, Venezuela. The role will work under direct supervision to execute category management strategies, issue purchase orders, and manage supplier relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute sourcing of goods and services to align with strategic plans.
• Issue purchase orders based on material requirements from manufacturing, field operations, or projects.
• Create RFQs and organize competitive bidding to secure best quality, delivery, and price.
• Implement local procurement agreements not covered by category management.
• Assess and monitor supplier performance, contributing to cost containment and operational efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement, sourcing operations, and supply chain.
• Proven experience in developing and executing sourcing strategies.
• Strong stakeholder and supplier relationship management skills.
• Experience in Oil & Gas, Energy, Oilfield Services, EPC, or Mining sectors is preferred.
• Intermediate level of English.
