Procurement Specialist – Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Management

About the role

Huawei is seeking a results‑driven Procurement Specialist to lead sourcing activities, manage supplier relationships, and oversee procurement operations across multiple projects. The role ensures cost efficiency, supply continuity, and high service quality while adhering to internal policies and controls.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct market research to identify new suppliers and optimise the existing supplier base.
• Develop price baselines for key service categories and support cost‑reduction initiatives.
• Organise and lead regular supplier meetings to align with project teams.
• Respond promptly to project procurement requests and manage the full Purchase Order lifecycle.
• Monitor supplier quality and performance, implementing improvements as needed.
• Maintain 100% resource readiness through proactive capacity management.
• Track, analyse, and report procurement metrics to drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain or a related field.
• 2–5 years of procurement or purchasing experience, preferably in project‑based environments.
• Fluent English with strong communication and influencing abilities.
• Ability to work independently, adapt to multicultural settings, and travel internationally when required.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Access.
• Solid knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.
