Procurement Manager

About the role

XP Group is expanding its operations in Venezuela and seeks a Procurement Manager to lead the Procurement and Materials function in Caracas. You will be responsible for commercial, sourcing, warehouse and inventory management support across the country organization.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the local procurement team and provide commercial support to Operations, Drilling, Maintenance, Projects, HSE, Finance, HR, IT and other departments.
• Develop and execute sourcing and contracting strategies for services, materials and equipment, ensuring compliance with XP Procurement Guidelines and local regulations.
• Manage RFQs/RFPs, bidder communications, commercial evaluations, negotiations and award recommendations.
• Oversee supplier and contractor pre‑qualification, performance reviews and KPI monitoring.
• Maintain warehouse and inventory management activities, ensuring proper receipt, storage, issuance and control.

Required profile

• Approximately 10 years of procurement, contracting or commercial experience, preferably in oil & gas operations or related services.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commercial or a relevant discipline.
• Ability to work effectively in a matrix organization with solid‑line local management and functional Group alignment.
• Fluent Spanish and professional working proficiency in English.

Required skills

• Proficiency with standard business applications and relevant ERP / procurement systems.
• Strong planning, analytical and documentation skills with attention to audit trail and governance.
