People and Culture Associate (G-6) – Fixed Term – Caracas

About the role

The People and Culture Associate (G‑6) will join the UNICEF country office in Caracas, reporting to the People & Culture Officer. The position provides administrative support across People & Culture functions, including learning, recruitment, employee experience, talent management and HR analytics.

Key responsibilities

• Support business partnering and provide HR advice to line managers.
• Process entitlements and benefits for local staff.
• Assist with recruitment, placement and onboarding activities.
• Contribute to organization design, job classification and workforce planning.
• Facilitate learning initiatives and capacity‑development programmes.
• Provide general office and administrative support for the People & Culture unit.

Required profile

• Completed secondary education; technical or university courses in a related field are an asset.
• Minimum six years of progressive administrative or clerical experience in HR‑related areas.
• Strong computer literacy and proficiency with standard office software and HR systems.
• Ability to organise work, meet deadlines and handle confidential information.
• Fluency in Spanish and basic English; additional UN language knowledge is a plus.

• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• HR information systems for data extraction and reporting.
