Part‑Time Housekeeper

About the role

This part‑time position is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary and welcoming environment for residents, employees and visitors in an affordable‑housing community. The housekeeper follows established procedures for handling, cleaning, disposing and moving objects and materials.

Key responsibilities

• Clean halls, common areas and vacant units, including floors, walls, doors, bathrooms, grounds, stairwells, windows and appliances.
• Develop and follow a cleaning schedule with the supervisor to ensure full coverage of buildings and grounds.
• Maintain cleaning‑supply inventory and keep equipment in working order.
• Post notices, coordinate with maintenance and the community manager for vacant‑unit cleaning, and decorate for holidays.
• Assist with community meetings, holiday functions and special resident requests as needed.

Required profile

• Ability to work assigned hours and complete tasks in a timely manner.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent and at least one year of housekeeping experience in an affordable‑housing setting.
• Physical ability to lift 30 lb, stand, walk, bend, twist, stoop, pull, push, kneel, stretch and reach.

Required skills

• Operation of vacuum cleaners.
• Use of dusting equipment.
• Use of bathroom‑cleaning equipment.
• Proper handling of cleaning supplies and protective gloves.

What we offer

• Hourly wage of $18.00.
