Operations Manager

About the role

Samaritan's Purse is seeking an Operations Manager to lead and coordinate essential functions across its Venezuela operations. The role blends strategic oversight with hands‑on management to ensure that humanitarian programs run smoothly and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee core operational areas including HR, IT, logistics, procurement, warehousing, fleet, asset, and base operations.
• Lead national and international procurement processes, ensuring compliance with donor and organizational standards.
• Direct logistics activities such as fleet management, travel coordination, asset tracking, warehousing, and inventory control.
• Act as the primary liaison between field sites, the Country Office, and senior leadership to maintain alignment on priorities and policies.
• Promote staff development through capacity‑building initiatives and foster regional collaboration for operational excellence.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Spanish proficiency (reading and writing) required.
• Advanced degree from a college or university.
• Minimum three years of experience in project management, business administration, public administration, logistics, supply chain management, communications, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Field experience and knowledge of the region preferred.
• Twelve credit hours of college‑level Biblical studies strongly preferred.
