National Grants Specialist – Caracas

About the role

The Danish Refugee Council (DRC) is seeking a National Grants Specialist to join its country office in Caracas, Venezuela. The role supports the management of DRC’s grant portfolio, ensuring compliance with donor requirements and DRC policies while facilitating effective proposal development and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain high‑quality contract management, flagging risks and supporting amendments, extensions, and revisions.
• Coordinate and facilitate grant kickoff, review, and close‑out meetings, tracking timelines and action points.
• Update and monitor DRC’s Grants Management Cards on Microsoft Dynamics and internal SharePoint documentation.
• Maintain the grants tracker and communicate regularly with regional offices, HQ, and field teams.
• Support implementation teams in understanding contractual obligations and ensure reporting deadlines are met.
• Troubleshoot gaps in deliverables, informing relevant staff and seeking guidance from HQ when needed.

Required profile

• National candidate with proven experience in grants management within the humanitarian sector.
• Strong knowledge of donor regulations and DRC compliance standards.
• Ability to work collaboratively with technical coordinators, senior management, and support services.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Dynamics for grants management.
• Experience using SharePoint for document control and collaboration.
