Mid-Level DevOps Engineer – AWS (Remote)

About the role

Gigmote is looking for a Mid-Level DevOps Engineer with strong AWS expertise to design, build, and optimise a cloud‑native platform for high‑growth SaaS customers. You will work remotely, collaborating with software engineers to ensure reliable, secure, and scalable infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy and maintain AWS infrastructure using Terraform.
• Build and optimise CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions and CircleCI.
• Support deployment and operation of web applications, backend services and databases across multiple environments.
• Monitor platform health, respond to incidents and troubleshoot production issues.
• Implement infrastructure security best practices and manage networking components (VPCs, subnets, routing, security groups, load balancers, DNS).
• Collaborate with engineers to improve automation and release processes.
• Maintain system documentation, operational procedures and infrastructure standards.
• Participate in on‑call rotation and incident response.
• Identify opportunities to enhance reliability, scalability, security and efficiency.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering or Cloud Engineering.
• Proven experience with AWS services and Terraform.
• Hands‑on experience with GitHub, GitHub Actions and CircleCI.
• Strong Linux system administration skills.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing, firewalls, VPNs, routing).
• Experience deploying and supporting production applications.
• Familiarity with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
