Master Electrician Supervisor

About the role

The Master Electrician Supervisor will be stationed in Venezuela, supporting the U.S. Embassy Venezuela BLS Services contract for the U.S. Department of State. This senior position oversees the operation, maintenance, and repair of all electrical infrastructure across assigned sites, ensuring safe, reliable, and code‑compliant power delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise electricians, medium‑voltage electricians, and support staff in installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of switchgear, transformers, distribution panels, lighting, and emergency power systems.
• Lead preventive‑maintenance programs to maximize system uptime and reliability.
• Diagnose complex electrical malfunctions, power‑quality issues, and equipment failures.
• Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA 70E, OSHA, and manufacturer specifications.
• Implement and enforce electrical safety programs, including arc‑flash protection, LOTO procedures, and PPE requirements.
• Conduct safety training, schedule shifts, and coordinate emergency response.
• Review and approve electrical drawings, specifications, and work plans.
• Maintain accurate records, generate performance and safety reports, and manage inventory of parts and tools.

Required profile

• Extensive experience supervising electrical teams in a high‑security or government environment.
• Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize emergencies, and maintain detailed documentation.
