Junior Accountant

About the role

The Junior Accountant will join Deepcompany’s finance team in Caracas, working in a hybrid model that combines office presence with remote days. This full‑time position supports daily accounting operations and assists senior finance staff with month‑end and year‑end activities.

Key responsibilities

• Record financial transactions and maintain accurate general‑ledger entries.
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processing.
• Prepare regular financial reports and reconcile bank statements.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing activities.
• Collaborate with senior finance members to ensure compliance with internal policies and accounting standards.
• Respond to internal inquiries regarding budgets, expenses, and financial documentation.

Required profile

• Foundational accounting knowledge and a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Strong analytical, numerical, and communication skills.
• Organizational and time‑management abilities to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Reliability and self‑motivation to work effectively in a hybrid environment.
• Knowledge of Venezuelan tax regulations and basic compliance is an advantage.
• Prior internship or junior‑level experience in accounting or finance is preferred but not required.
