IT Support Specialist – Level 2 (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a proactive IT Support Specialist – Level 2 to provide advanced technical assistance for a U.S.-based organization. The role involves troubleshooting complex hardware, software, and network issues while maintaining a reliable IT infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Provide Level 2 support for Windows, macOS, Linux (Debian, Proxmox) and Windows Server environments.
• Administer Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace, perform remote installations, updates, and maintenance.
• Troubleshoot network connectivity, manage IP addressing, and support firewalls, VPNs, and DNS security solutions.
• Maintain backup and virtualization platforms such as Proxmox and Hyper‑V.
• Use remote tools (ConnectWise, RustDesk) and ticketing systems to prioritize and resolve tickets.
• Create and update technical documentation and knowledge‑base articles.

Required profile

• Mid‑senior level experience in IT support, help‑desk or systems administration.
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple requests, and collaborate with escalation teams.

Required skills

• Windows, macOS, Linux (Debian, Proxmox) operating systems.
• Windows Server administration.
• Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace.
• Networking concepts: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, IP addressing.
• Firewalls and VPNs (pfSense, UniFi, OPNsense).
• Antivirus, email security, DNS filtering.
• Virtualization and backup (Proxmox, Hyper‑V).
• Scripting with PowerShell and Bash.
• Remote support tools: ConnectWise, RustDesk.
• Ticket management systems and IT documentation platforms (IT Glue).
