Industrial Relations Representative

About the role

The Industrial Relations Representative acts as the central point for all matters related to trade unions, collective bargaining, staff discipline, and grievance handling. Working closely with the GeoMarket HR Manager, operations leaders and external partners, the role ensures compliant and constructive labor‑management relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the focal contact for trade unions, union negotiations and employee relations support.
• Monitor changes in labor legislation and advise on necessary policy updates.
• Foster and maintain compliant relationships with trade unions and third‑party stakeholders.
• Advise HR and line managers on disciplinary procedures and grievance processes.
• Develop and implement labor policies, negotiate collective bargaining agreements, and oversee grievance resolution.
• Interpret and administer employment contracts covering wages, benefits, pensions, healthcare and union provisions.
• Ensure adherence to Schlumberger standards, data‑privacy regulations and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Coach and develop new team members within the industrial relations function.

Required profile

• Proven experience in industrial or labor relations, preferably within a large multinational.
• Strong knowledge of local labor laws, union regulations and collective bargaining practices.
• Excellent advisory skills for HR and line management on disciplinary and grievance matters.
• Ability to build constructive relationships with unions, employees and external partners.
