Global Response Manager – Emergency Response Team

About the role

The Global Response Manager will lead CORE’s Emergency Response Team, designing and implementing humanitarian programmes worldwide. The role requires rapid deployment—often within 48 hours of a crisis—to establish response operations, manage field teams and coordinate with local partners, governments and coordination mechanisms.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy to disaster sites and set up emergency response programmes.
• Lead and supervise multidisciplinary field teams in high‑pressure environments.
• Coordinate with local NGOs, government agencies and humanitarian coordination systems.
• Oversee the design, implementation and monitoring of humanitarian projects across CORE’s portfolio.
• Strengthen operational readiness and preparedness in existing markets, including the United States.
• Support capacity‑building initiatives to enhance locally‑led response capabilities.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in humanitarian or disaster‑response management.
• Proven ability to lead teams in emergency settings and work under tight deadlines.
• Strong knowledge of humanitarian coordination mechanisms and partnership building.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
