GIS Substation Maintenance Supervisor (High‑Voltage SF6)

About the role

The GIS Substation Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing preventive and corrective maintenance of high‑voltage gas‑insulated (GIS) and air‑insulated (AIS) substations, ensuring safe and efficient operation in line with Siemens Energy standards and industry best practices.

Key responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive and corrective maintenance on GIS/AIS switchgear, circuit breakers, and disconnectors.
• Enforce electrical safety regulations and safe handling of SF6 gas, promoting a Zero Harm culture.
• Coordinate field technicians and subcontractors, assign tasks, monitor performance, and verify quality of work.
• Conduct basic fault diagnosis, analyse simple failures and define corrective actions.
• Prepare detailed technical reports documenting maintenance activities, findings and recommendations.

Required profile

• Technical degree in Electrical Maintenance, Electromechanics or related field.
• Journeyman Electrician or equivalent national certification.
• Extensive experience in maintenance and repair of industrial or high‑voltage electrical systems.
• Ability to work with limited supervision and solve non‑routine technical problems.
• Availability to travel for extended periods and intermediate‑advanced English proficiency.
