Field Service Engineer – Medium Voltage

About the role

The Field Service Engineer – Medium Voltage is the technical expert who assists customers in installing, commissioning, maintaining and troubleshooting Rockwell Automation industrial automation systems throughout their lifecycle. This position involves extensive on‑site work, travel up to 70%, and direct interaction with customers to ensure operational quality and reliability of complex equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Configure, commission, maintain, diagnose and troubleshoot Rockwell Automation hardware and software products.
• Provide technical support during planned service visits and emergency engineering calls.
• Validate and approve the operational quality of system equipment before hand‑over.
• Instruct customers on proper operation and maintenance of installed systems.
• Act as the liaison between the company and customers on both administrative and technical matters for assigned projects.
• Prepare detailed technical reports and complete weekly administrative tasks such as expense and time reporting.
• Participate in internal training programs to continuously improve product knowledge.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, Mechatronics, Systems Engineering or a related field.
• Good communicative level of English, both spoken and written.
• Willingness to travel up to 70% of the time, including domestic and international trips.
• Typically 5 years of experience in industrial automation or related technical service roles.
