Field Assistant – Displacement Tracking Monitoring

About the role
The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Field Assistant to support Displacement Tracking Monitoring (DTM) activities in Caracas. The role involves assisting with planning, organizing, and monitoring field operations that generate reliable data on displaced populations and mobility trends.
Key responsibilities
- Support the planning, coordination and monitoring of DTM field activities according to workplans and supervisor guidance.
- Assist in organizing rapid assessments, mobility tracking, site assessments, registration support and key informant interviews.
- Coordinate with local authorities, community leaders, service providers and partners to secure access and permissions.
- Brief, accompany and support enumerators and field teams during data collection, ensuring clarity of tools and procedures.
- Conduct quality checks on collected data and contribute to timely reporting on field progress, challenges and emerging needs.
Required profile
- Ability to work in a multicultural environment and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to travel within the assigned area and work in field conditions.
