Executive Director – Gold Division

About the role

UCC Holding is seeking an Executive Director to lead its Gold Division in Venezuela. The role will oversee the entire mining value chain—from exploration and greenfield development to processing, commercial activities, and tailings recovery—driving strategic growth, operational performance, and profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership and strategic direction for the Gold Division.
• Lead gold exploration, resource evaluation, mine development, and production activities.
• Oversee tailings recovery projects, sediment resource extraction programs, ore‑based mining operations, and greenfield developments.
• Drive operational excellence, production optimization, and cost‑efficiency initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with HSE standards, environmental regulations, and mining legislation.
• Develop and execute growth strategies, expansion projects, and resource development plans.
• Manage relationships with government authorities, investors, local communities, and strategic partners.
• Deliver strong financial performance with full responsibility for budgets, forecasts, and P&L management.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, Geology, Metallurgy or related field; MBA preferred.
• Minimum 15 years of senior leadership experience in the gold mining industry.
• Proven experience managing tailings recovery, sediment resource projects, ore‑based mining operations and greenfield developments.
• Strong background in gold exploration, resource development, mineral processing, mine planning and production.
• Demonstrated success leading large‑scale mining operations and delivering sustainable growth.
• Experience working in Latin America or other emerging mining jurisdictions is highly desirable.
• Fluent in Spanish and English.
