Director de Tecnología – IT Strategy Leader

About the role

The company is seeking a full‑time Director of Technology to lead its IT strategy in Caracas. The role will align technology initiatives with business goals and client requirements, overseeing operations, projects, and teams.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the company’s IT strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Oversee technology operations and infrastructure, guaranteeing high availability, security, and performance.
• Lead IT projects from planning through delivery, managing budgets, vendors, and resources.
• Mentor and develop multidisciplinary technical teams, establishing standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with leadership and clients to identify innovation opportunities and improve service quality.
• Support pre‑sales activities and solution design as needed.

Required profile

• Strong foundation in infrastructure, networking, security, and web technologies.
• Proven experience in project and program management, delivering multiple initiatives on time and within budget.
• Demonstrated ability to create IT roadmaps, governance frameworks, and align technology with business goals.
• Effective leadership skills with experience building and coaching technical teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, IT or a related field; certifications such as PMP, ITIL, CISSP, or cloud credentials are a plus.
• Experience in on‑site technology operations, preferably in consulting, managed services, or systems integration.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills; fluency in Spanish and professional proficiency in English are highly desirable.
