Coordinator, Medical Emergency Response Team

About the role

The Medical Emergency Response Team Coordinator will lead the delivery of outpatient clinical care to populations affected by disasters. Reporting to Emergency Response Leadership, the coordinator ensures quality, organization, and timely implementation of all clinical services across the operation.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise day‑to‑day health program activities, providing technical support to medical and non‑medical staff.
• Assign physicians and nurses to specific tasks, conduct assessments, and oversee start‑up activities.
• Manage referral pathways for mental health, child‑maternal health, and gender‑based violence services.
• Analyze pharmacy reports, adjust procurement plans, and coordinate drug supply with pharmacists and logistics.
• Implement and maintain data management systems, ensuring daily output and accurate reporting.
• Collaborate with senior management, field teams, UN agencies, and national health authorities for outbreak preparedness, contingency planning, and program scaling.
• Contribute to concept notes and proposals for future funding, following donor protocols.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing health programs in emergency or humanitarian settings.
• Strong ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and liaise with partners and authorities.
• Excellent analytical skills for data review, trend analysis, and program adjustment.
