Category Management Specialist

About the role

The Category Management Specialist will lead the development and execution of category optimisation projects for key customers in the DT, IT and D&P segments. Based in Caracas, you will translate shopper insights into actionable selling stories that drive space profitability and market‑leading performance.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement assortment and shelf‑placement strategies to maximise profitability across assigned categories.
• Conduct Category Assessments and Productivity Analyses using Colgate‑Palmolive tools and present quarterly performance reviews.
• Create and deliver Category Selling Stories and new‑product exhibition proposals, overseeing pilot roll‑outs and expansions.
• Collaborate with the CD Team and Sales to identify growth opportunities and deploy advanced execution tools.
• Lead training programmes for merchandisers, commercial teams and external clients on CATMAN methodologies and specialised software.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree completed.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in sales, commercial or marketing roles.
• Fluent English (written and verbal).

Required skills

• Intermediate proficiency with Google Suite.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel for data management.
• Experience with specialised tools such as Spaceman or Microsoft Access.
