Bookkeeper & Financial Operations Specialist (Remote LATAM/Philippines)

About the role

Tragas Consulting is seeking a Bookkeeper & Financial Operations Specialist to manage day‑to‑day accounting for select eCommerce agency clients and support leadership on financial modeling and forecasting. The role is fully remote, targeting candidates in Latin America or the Philippines.

Key responsibilities

• Record, categorize, and reconcile daily transactions across bank and credit‑card accounts.
• Manage accounts receivable and payable, invoice in QuickBooks Online and Xero, and follow up on overdue items.
• Execute month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close, delivering clean books by the 5th of each month.
• Prepare monthly financial reports (P&L, cash flow, margin snapshots) and assist external accountants.
• Build and maintain client‑facing financial models, including revenue projections, cost structures, cash‑flow forecasts, and scenario analyses.
• Support the creation of clear, decision‑ready forecast presentations.
• Leverage AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, etc.) daily to accelerate analysis, drafting, and data work.
• Identify workflow improvements, automate repetitive tasks, and flag process gaps or risks.

Required profile

• Comfortable working with QuickBooks Online, Xero, and advanced Google Sheets/Excel.
• Strong experience in bookkeeping, reconciliations, and month‑end close processes.
• Proven ability to build financial models and conduct scenario analysis.
• Proactive, detail‑oriented, and able to translate raw data into actionable insights.
• Willingness to adopt AI‑powered tools to improve efficiency.
