Area Manager – Venezuela

About the role

The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) is seeking a highly qualified and resilient Area Manager for Venezuela. The role focuses on ensuring high‑quality and effective programme and project implementation in regions affected by recent earthquakes, while upholding NRC’s core values of dedication, innovation, inclusion, accountability, and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage directly reporting staff, overseeing performance management processes.
• Set clear, measurable goals that align with the country strategy and priorities.
• Monitor and support staff achievement of those goals.
• Ensure programme and project activities meet NRC standards for quality and impact in disaster‑affected areas.

Required profile

• Proven experience in programme or project implementation, preferably in humanitarian or disaster contexts.
• Strong line‑management and performance‑management capabilities.
• Resilience and ability to work under challenging conditions.
