Warehouse Logistics Manager

About the role

The Warehouse Logistics Manager will lead material logistics, warehousing and lay‑down operations for a major airport construction project. The role ensures that all materials and equipment are delivered, stored and issued to work fronts on time while complying with strict airside access windows and safety regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage the overall logistics strategy, including delivery scheduling, lay‑down area allocation and warehouse operations aligned with the construction programme.
• Oversee project warehouses and lay‑down areas, ensuring secure, systematic storage and efficient issue to work fronts.
• Coordinate airside and landside deliveries in partnership with the Permit Coordinator and airport operations, respecting approved access windows.
• Implement and maintain inventory control systems to track materials from receipt through issue, minimizing loss and stockouts.
• Manage relationships with suppliers and transport providers, ensuring reliable delivery schedules and resolving issues promptly.
• Lead and supervise warehouse staff, forklift and plant operators, and logistics coordinators, fostering safe and well‑organized operations.
• Ensure all logistics activities comply with HSE requirements, including safe manual handling and storage of hazardous materials.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or related field.
• Professional logistics or supply‑chain certification (e.g., CIPS, CILT) is an advantage.
• 10‑12 years of logistics and warehouse management experience in construction, with at least 4‑5 years in a senior role on large infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience managing material logistics in access‑restricted or highly regulated environments such as live airports.
• Demonstrated ability to implement inventory control systems and coordinate supplier and transport schedules to avoid construction delays.
