Tax Accountant (Remote, LATAM)

About the role

As a Tax Accountant you will work on a variety of tax assignments, collaborating with team members and supporting clients by providing expert tax guidance, return preparation and compliance. The position is fully remote, serving clients across the United States while based anywhere in LATAM.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze financial information and prepare reports to determine assets, liabilities, profit and loss, and tax liabilities for clients.
• Prepare a range of US tax returns, including 1040, 1040NR, FBAR, 1120, 1120S, 1120F, 1065, and 5471.
• Review and process incoming financial documentation such as bank statements and client records.
• Ensure clients comply with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements.
• Perform additional accounting and tax‑related tasks as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Taxation.
• 5+ years of experience in US tax preparation, including complex individual and corporate returns.
• Advanced proficiency in English and Spanish, both written and spoken.
• Experience working in a CPA or bookkeeping firm is preferred.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• QuickBooks.
• UltraTax CS or similar tax preparation software.
