Systems Engineer (Rust) – Remote

About the role

We are looking for a Systems Engineer with deep expertise in Rust to design and build high‑performance, low‑latency software components. The role is fully remote and focuses on performance‑critical, networking‑heavy applications that run on AWS infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain performance‑critical systems software using Rust’s ownership model.
• Build robust backend services with frameworks such as Actix or Axum.
• Optimize low‑level code for memory safety and execution speed without a garbage collector.
• Create secure communication layers using gRPC or JSON‑RPC.
• Implement thread‑safe concurrency and asynchronous patterns for high‑throughput processing.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional engineering teams to ensure reliability and efficient resource utilization on AWS.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience in software or systems engineering, preferably backend development.
• Proven expertise in Rust programming with a focus on memory safety and high performance.
• Strong experience with asynchronous programming and Rust web frameworks.
• Hands‑on experience building backend services that integrate PostgreSQL and RPC mechanisms.
• Practical knowledge of deploying and operating services on AWS.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
